what did I touch?

on the way to sfo, emerging tunnel
hills of pastel house mediated by bart window smears
see sky and think about the blue

she told me it was
blue unlike any other place she has ever been
long dark waves dressed her tanned shoulders flirting
with life, on the bench

ferry terminal disseminates rhythmic bodies in pulse substantiating

philosophic cadences, shared lingua franca
blended us oh so easily,

    oh this city and sea
     —ohhhh

this moaned way we longed to be.
